Maternity session! Anyone who has experienced pregnancy, knows that motherhood begins well before birth. Whether your pregnancy has been a dream or a challenge, you deserve a collection of beautiful portraits to celebrate the journey.
Maternity portraits are also a beautiful way to share with your child later on, how eagerly you anticipated their arrival. I didn’t have them done for myself with either pregnancy, and I regret it. I wish I had some professional quality photographs to pass down to them.
Maternity photos are best taken when your belly is big, so usually around 32 – 36 weeks. It also includes the option for immediate family joining in; husband/spouse/partner, siblings, and family pictures.

Lifestyle Newborn! This is for an at-home, natural newborn session capturing the first bonding moments of the immediate family days to a few weeks after baby is born. Lifestyle newborn sessions are the perfect way to capture your new baby in your home in a relaxed way. During these sessions, we will capture your family in a way that you can look back on and remember. Siblings do great in this situation as well, allowing us to capture authentic moments. No posing (either of the baby or family) is done in-home, just gentle and relaxed direction, which allows for natural connection and interaction to occur. All family members are included, and also a great time to include your pets. This session can take place outdoors if weather permits. This session averages at about 1-2 hours as baby sets the pace and breaks may be needed.
Newborn with Props! This session should take place sometime within the baby’s first 7 – 14 days for best sleepiness! I will pay you a quick visit a couple of days prior to the session to check on what room would be best for the shoot. I usually end up using a bedroom where there are windows and we can close the door and heat it up with a space heater before I show up on session day. I’ve found babies sleep best when they are warm and comfy – and if we pre-warm the room, it will all go more smoothly. I will bring my portable studio to your home, lighting kit, “roll out hard wood floors”, baskets, blankets, wraps, hair pieces and other props. We will talk before the session if you would like to use some of your personal baskets, wraps and props. Sessions last up to about 3 hours, sometimes longer if baby is a light sleeper, or is hungry.
1st Birthday smash cake and bubbles! I love capturing the fun energy of your baby’s first birthday! All of my smash cake sessions are done in your home, outside in your yard or on location. I provide the cake stand and most of the decorations. You provide your sweet baby, cake, and balloons if wanted! We can also plan a themed shoot.
You and I will plan all the details, from the cake to clothes, to the environment of the birthday party backdrops. If you have a vision for your baby’s smash cake portraits, I will bring it to life. And, if you need birthday theme options, my resources are endless.
As it takes time to compose the setting for your smash cake, design and purchase the cake, and prepare for all the tiny-little details, I always ask that you book your child’s birthday photo session 2-3 weeks in advance if possible.
Birthday photography sessions last between 1-2 hours and are always fun and messy.
Tea Party! I will provide all the props and set it up at one location. You only have to show up with the Tea Party participants in “dress up” clothing with their favorite cupcakes and drinks (apple juice).
Kids and Pets! Kids and pets are a great pairing for photography as they tend to be spontaneous and great fun, and you can end up with something more meaningful than just a static portrait of them on your own. This is an up to one hour session outdoors at one location. I can come to you and shoot on your porch/doorstep, or in your own back yard. We can also meet up at one location that we decide on together.
Siblings! Kids sessions are focused on capturing the kids together in all of their splendor and joy. This is an up to one hour session outdoors at one location. I can come to you and shoot on your porch/doorstep, or in your own back yard. We can also meet up at one location that we decide on together.
Family Session! Up to one hour outdoor session with immediate family, at one location. Before your session we will do a phone consultation to discuss your expectations, ideas, goals and on what to wear. I like to focus on the interactions between family members, but will also find the right moment for the more traditional pose of the whole family. I usually shoot an hour or two before sunset, but can also be taken right after sunrise. I will take multiple family poses, siblings and individual children, and couples. Extended family are available and will be priced based on size.
